SUMMARY:Mini- Workshop: Learn to Spin with Stephanie Sexton
DESCRIPTION:Come learn to spin fiber into yarn! In this workshop we will cover the basics of spinning wool into yarn. Fiber is provided\, but participants should bring their own wheel or make arrangements to borrow one. Multiple bobbins are helpful\, but not required. This workshop is suitable for those who have never spun or who are new to spinning and want to gain confidence. \nInstructor: Stephanie Sexton \nBio: Stephani has been knitting since 2001\, spinning since 2008 and weaving since 2016. She enjoys natural fibers\, always has a knitting project with her and would like to expand her weaving skills. She has two slightly feral children\, holds a degree in Botany from Oregon State and works as a computer drafter at an engineering firm. \nNumber of students: Min.= 3 – Max = 6 \nCost: $28 \nMaterials Fee: $20 paid directly to Stephanie; fiber provided \nSupplies: Spinning wheel and bobbins \nTime: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a break for sack / take out lunch\n\n\n.\nSee workshop policy here.\n\nWorkshop participants agree to indemnity\, defend and hold harmless COSWG\, its officers and members\, from all claims arising out of workshop activities.
