SUMMARY:Beginning Weaving Class
DESCRIPTION:November 7-8-9 (M-T-W) 10 AM to 4 PM each day \nWe will learn to warp a four shaft loom\, weave with different yarns\, making different patterns\, all on one warp. Class time will include; making a warp\, getting it on the loom and weaving the cloth. We will also discuss ways to finish your woven cloth.  There will be handouts on types of yarn to use for other projects as well as a vocabulary list of weaving terms. DESCRIPTION:2nd Wednesday monthly (except December)\n10:00 AM – noon \nStudy group location will be announced in the newsletter in the study group minutes. \nCentral Oregon Spinners study group meets once a month to explore the many facets of spinning wonderful yarn from the many incredible fibers available to spinners. Explorations include learning about our heritage breeds\, dyeing fiber\, processing techniques and incorporating spun yarn into knits\, woven fabric and felted creations. 2022 Spinning Study Focus: Exploring Other Fibers (Bast – hemp\, flax\, cotton; silk)\, in addition to the ongoing exploration of Heritage Fiber Breeds. The Spinning Study group meets the second Wednesday of the month\, 10 am to Noon. Information on the next meeting can be found in the COSW newsletter.
