Are you interested in teaching fellow guild members a skill you are experienced doing? We would love to support you in sharing your knowledge via our “Local Workshops” process.

If you are interested, fill out the Local Workshop Information Form and send it to our current Education Coordinator, Beth O’Mahony.

Local Workshops are fiber art workshops that are taught by current members of COSWG.  They are short workshops, typically lasting ½ to 1 day, and they focus on a specific skill or project.

 

Purpose & Goals:

• Encourage guild members to teach & share their expertise
• Provide a place for participants to learn new things & have fun
• Outreach to the community (workshops are open to non-members)
• Not be a big commitment of time and/or money for the guild, instructor and participants
• Local Workshops are simple & quick to implement; they can be offered in a timely manner (on short notice) without making a lot of work for the guild.  Local workshops do not make money for the guild.
